OraGrid helps you meet one suitable person at a time, and helps couples talk about what is hard to say. That only works if you can trust us with personal things. This policy explains, in plain language, what we collect, why, who can see it, how long we keep it, and how you stay in control.
The short version: what you tell Ora stays with Ora unless you choose to share it. Moderators cannot read your private chats with Ora. You can see, correct and delete what Ora remembers, download your data, and delete your account at any time in the app.
1. Who we are
OraGrid is operated by [LEGAL ENTITY NAME — complete before launch] (“OraGrid”, “we”, “us”), a company of GreenHills Tech. Our registered address is [REGISTERED ADDRESS — complete before launch]. We are the controller of the personal data described in this policy.
This policy covers the OraGrid iPhone app and this website (oragrid.com). You can reach us at support@oragrid.com.
2. Information we collect
We collect only what we need to run OraGrid. Some of it you give us, some is created while you use the app, and a little comes from Apple or Google when you sign in.
| Category | What it includes | Where it comes from |
|---|---|---|
| Account | Email address, sign-in identifiers from Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google, one-time sign-in codes, language, date you joined. | You, Apple, Google |
| Profile | First name, age or date of birth, gender, city, photos, short bio, what you are looking for (marriage, a serious relationship, or exploring compatibility), preferences, and optionally your faith. | You |
| Voice introduction | An optional short recording that other people can listen to once you are introduced. | You |
| Verification video | A short selfie video (and voice) so that a human moderator can check you are a real adult matching your photos. | You |
| Conversations with Ora | What you type or say to Ora, including the interview about your values, and Ora’s replies. Voice is converted to text. Ora also keeps short “memories” (summaries of what matters to you). | You |
| Rooms and shared features | Messages in an introduction room or a couple room, plans, agreements, check-in and challenge answers, gratitude notes and shared memories. | You and the person you are connected with |
| Usage and device | App version, device model, operating system, language setting, time of use, crash and error reports, and IP address (for security and abuse prevention). | Your device |
| Push notifications | A device token issued by Apple so that we can send notifications you have allowed. | Apple, your device |
| Purchases | Subscription status and Apple transaction identifiers. We never receive your card or payment details; Apple handles payment. | Apple |
| Safety and moderation | Reports, blocks, moderator notes and decisions, and results of automated screening for abuse or self-harm. | You, other users, our systems |
| Support | Messages you send to support and our replies. | You |
3. How we use your information, and our legal bases
Where the law requires a legal basis (for example under the EU/UK GDPR), this is the basis we rely on for each purpose.
| Purpose | Legal basis |
|---|---|
| Create and run your account, build your profile, and introduce you to suitable people. | Performing our contract with you |
| Let Ora talk with you and remember what matters to you, using an AI provider. | Your explicit consent (asked in the app before your first chat with Ora) |
| Check your identity with a verification video reviewed by human moderators. | Your explicit consent, and our legitimate interest in keeping the community safe |
| Process optional sensitive details such as faith. | Your explicit consent |
| Run introduction rooms and couple rooms, and the features inside them. | Performing our contract with you |
| Review reports, enforce the Community Rules, screen for abuse and self-harm, and prevent fraud. | Legitimate interests in safety and security; legal obligations |
| Provide subscriptions, free trials and restore purchases. | Performing our contract with you |
| Send service messages and the push notifications you allow. | Performing our contract; your consent for push notifications |
| Keep the service reliable, fix bugs and improve OraGrid using aggregated or de-identified statistics. | Legitimate interests |
| Comply with the law and respond to valid legal requests. | Legal obligations |
We do not sell your personal data. We do not use advertising or cross-app tracking, and we do not show ads.
4. Ora, AI processing and our AI provider
Ora is an artificial-intelligence assistant, not a person. To write Ora’s replies, we send your messages to our AI model provider, Google (the Gemini API), which processes them only on our behalf and does not use them to train its models. We send what is needed for the conversation: your messages, the memories relevant to the topic, and the minimum profile context.
- We ask for your explicit consent in the app before you chat with Ora for the first time. If you do not consent, you can still use parts of OraGrid that do not involve Ora, but Ora cannot help you.
- Under our agreement with the provider, content sent to power Ora is used only to provide the service to us and is not used to train the provider’s models.
- Ora can make mistakes. Matching suggestions are not decisions with legal or similarly significant effects, and you always make the final choice about whom to talk to.
- You can withdraw your consent at any time by stopping the conversation, deleting what Ora remembers, or deleting your account. Withdrawing does not affect what happened before.
5. Sensitive information
Some information is more sensitive: your religious belief (if you choose to add it), your relationship preferences, anything personal you tell Ora, and your voice and face in the verification video.
- Faith is optional. You can add, change or remove it at any time.
- The verification video is used only to verify identity. It is seen only by authorised human moderators and is deleted within 30 days of the decision, unless it is needed for an open report.
- We use sensitive information only for the purposes you agreed to, and we do not use it for advertising.
6. Who can see what
This is the most important table in this policy. It shows who can see each kind of content inside OraGrid.
| Content | Who can see it |
|---|---|
| Your private chats with Ora and what Ora remembers about you | Only you. Moderators and other users cannot see them. Our AI provider processes your messages to write Ora’s replies, as described above. |
| Something you approved to share through Ora (for example a “Help me say it” message) | Your partner, and only after you approve it |
| The shared room of a couple | Both partners |
| An introduction room | You and the person you were introduced to |
| Your profile (first name, age, photos, bio, voice introduction) | People Ora introduces you to, and people you introduce yourself to |
| Your verification video | Authorised moderators only |
| A message or profile you report | The moderation team, together with the surrounding context needed to decide. We do not tell the reported person who reported them. |
| Your purchase status | OraGrid and Apple |
7. Who we share information with
We share information only with service providers who process it for us under written agreements, and in the limited cases below.
| Provider | What they do | Information involved |
|---|---|---|
| Apple | Sign in with Apple, push notifications (APNs), and In-App Purchase / subscriptions (StoreKit) | Sign-in identifier, device push token, purchase status |
| Google (optional) | Sign in with Google, if you choose it | Sign-in identifier, email address |
| Google (Gemini API) | AI model provider that processes your messages so Ora can reply | Your conversation content, as described in section 4 |
| Cloud hosting and object storage provider | Hosts our servers and stores photos, voice and verification video | All data we store, in encrypted storage |
| Email delivery provider | Sends sign-in codes and service emails | Email address, the message |
| Error monitoring provider | Helps us find and fix crashes | Technical error data, device and app version |
A current list of providers is available on request at support@oragrid.com.
We may also disclose information when the law requires it, to protect someone’s safety, or to enforce our Terms. If OraGrid is involved in a merger or sale, your information may transfer to the new owner, who must honour this policy. We never sell personal data or share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
8. How long we keep information
| Information | How long we keep it |
|---|---|
| Your account and profile | Until you delete your account. Deleted accounts are erased from our live systems within 24 hours. |
| Backups | Deleted data disappears from backups on a rolling schedule, within 30 days at most. |

9. Your choices and rights
You control your information. Most things can be done yourself, in the app, in the Privacy center (Me tab):
- See, correct and delete what Ora remembers about you, one memory at a time.
- Download my data to get a copy of your information.
- Delete account (Me → Account → Delete account) to erase your data, as described in the retention section.
Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to our use of your information, to data portability, to withdraw consent, and to complain to your data-protection authority. Residents of California have the right to know, delete, correct, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information; we do not sell or share personal information, and we will not treat you differently for using your rights.
If you cannot use the in-app tools, email support@oragrid.com from the address on your account. We may ask you to confirm it is you. We respond within 30 days.
10. Children
OraGrid is for adults aged 18 and over only. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we learn that someone under 18 has an account, we will close it and erase their data. If you believe this has happened, please tell us.
11. International transfers
OraGrid is launching for people in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region, but our providers may process information in other countries, which may have different data-protection laws from yours. Where required, we use safeguards such as standard contractual clauses and limit what is shared to what is necessary.
12. Security
We protect your information with encryption in transit and in storage, strict access controls, and limited access for moderators. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your information, we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires.
13. This website, cookies and tracking
This website sets no cookies, runs no analytics and loads nothing from third parties; even our fonts are served from our own server. The app does not track you across other companies’ apps or websites.
14. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy in a meaningful way, we will tell you in the app before the change applies. The “last updated” date at the top always shows the current version.
15. Contact
Questions or requests about privacy: support@oragrid.com. You may also contact your local data-protection authority.
